A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity, Bety trained and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting at the very experimental and artist driven California Institute of the Arts. There she had the opportunity to perform in the Disney Modular Theatre and the RedCat Theatre in down town Los Angeles.
Film/TV highlights include the supporting role of Hong in the award winning Vietnamese-American independant film, Touch, and the role of Bridget Wu in the WB family hit, Pretty Little Liars.
Musical Theatre and Theatre highlights include the national tour of Disney’s The Little Mermaid as the Ariel Double, Cathy Rigby is Peter Pan as Curly/Jane understudy (McCoy Rigby Entertainment) and the international tour of Miss Saigon as Yvette/Ensemble (McCoy Rigby Entertainment). Regionally two productions of Cats as Victoria (Candlelight Pavilion), and as Sillabub (Cabrillo Musical Theatre), A Chorus Line as Connie (Lewis Family Playhouse), Peter Pan as Tootles/Peter Pan understudy (3D Theatricals), three productions of The King and I as a royal wife and dancer in the ballet (Sacramento Music Circus, Dallas Summer Musicals, and Fullerton Civic Light Opera), and a staged reading of new work Under The Tree as Marina (Pasadena Playhouse).
Synchronized Swimming highlights include the Coen Brother’s Hail Caesar!, Rob Marshall’s Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides as a mermaid, TNT’s Claws, the CW’s Privileged, and Ariana Grande’s music video, Right There. In addition, Bety can be seen performing live with the Aqualillies at various events in NY and LA.
